1. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting, browsing, registering for, or utilizing any portion of the Reference Me (ReME®) platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound in full by these Terms of Service, along with our Privacy Policy.

If you do not accept all terms and conditions set forth herein, you must immediately discontinue use of this website, portal, and related services.

2. Registered Trademark and Intellectual Property

Reference Me (ReME®) is a registered trademark of Reference Me LLC.

All trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, domain names, and brand identifiers displayed across the website and application interfaces are the exclusive intellectual property of Reference Me LLC or their respective owners.

No use of the ReME® mark, brand assets, logos, or commercial artwork is permitted without prior express written authorization through a formal trademark license agreement executed by Reference Me LLC.

3. Platform License and Permitted Use

Unless otherwise stated in writing, Reference Me LLC and its licensors own all intellectual property rights for material published on https://referenceme.ai and affiliated subdomains. All intellectual property rights are reserved.

You are granted a revocable, limited license for personal professional transition or authorized employer evaluation, subject to the following express restrictions:

• You must not republish, sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit platform material without written consent.
• You must not reproduce, duplicate, scrape, or extract platform content or candidate records using automated robots or scripts.
• You must not redistribute candidate reference records outside authorized executive hiring workflows.
• You must not reverse engineer or decompile any portion of our verification infrastructure or matching engine.

4. Cryptographic Verification and Tamper Resistant Lock

Reference Me (ReME®) utilizes cryptographic fingerprinting technology based on SHA 256 hashing to generate immutable reference authentication records.

Each verified credential is mathematically locked. Any modification or falsification of reference text, referee statements, or dates results in a cryptographic hash mismatch, instantly invalidating document integrity. Attempting to bypass, disable, forge, or alter cryptographic validation tokens constitutes a material breach of this agreement and may trigger civil liability plus criminal prosecution under state and federal law.

5. User Conduct and Referee Submissions

Users, candidate leaders, and professional referees submitting information through the platform represent and warrant that:

• All submitted statements, employment histories, and performance evaluations are truthful, accurate, and substantiated.
• The submitter possesses legal authority to deliver the reference feedback or corporate evaluation.
• Submissions do not infringe upon any third party copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or proprietary right.
• Submissions do not contain defamatory, libelous, fraudulent, unlawful, or deceptive material.

Reference Me LLC reserves the absolute right to investigate suspicious submissions, reject unverified records, and remove any content deemed deceptive or fraudulent.

6. Cookies and Data Privacy

We employ functional cookies and session tokens to enable portal features, maintain navigation state, and analyze platform reliability. By using Reference Me (ReME®), you consent to our cookie usage in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Reference Me LLC provides the platform and reference verification tools on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied.

While ReME® cohorts achieve executive reemployment in 90 to 180 days for Director plus roles compared to the standard executive search average of 2.5 years, individual placement speed and competing job offer volumes vary depending on candidate background, industry conditions, and active executive searches.

Under no circumstances shall Reference Me LLC, its officers, directors, employees, or partners be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your access to or inability to use the platform.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service and any dispute or controversy arising out of or related to your use of the platform shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any legal action, suit, or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be instituted exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and each party irrevocably submits to the exclusive personal jurisdiction of such courts.
